ANSYS CFD provides key to understanding the mechanisms of water waves which is a crucial part of ocean hydrodynamics. Understanding the limits of available models as waves approach break conditions can significantly help to improve the accuracy of their potential impact in the field. The movement of the water waves can be studied using the free-surface flow model.

In this webinar, we will present the overview of the ANSYS solution for hydrodynamics and wave loading, the free-surface flow model of a Volume of Fluid (VOF) method, coupled with the Open Channel Flow module in ANSYS Fluent and some case studies with an open sharing session in simulation experience from a guest speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jatuporn Thongsri from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, Ladkrabang.
