In Focus: Four Years & Four Wins! The story of CAD-IT and KPMG’s prestigious Enterprise 50 Awards.

There may be some that considers the number 4 as an unlucky number. The folks at CAD-IT Consultants (Asia) Pte Ltd would beg to disagree. Their winning streak in the Enterprise 50 (E50) Award continues; making it their 4th consecutive win since their inaugural win in 2012.

CAD-IT joins 1,200 guests at the Resorts World West and Central Ballrooms, Resorts World Convention Centre, Sentosa at the the 21st Enterprise 50 Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday, 19th November 2015 graced by Guest of Honor, Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr S. Iswaran.

CAD-IT is proud to continue their upward trajectory in the list of winners, being ranked 25th for this year’s award, a 6 position improvement from their 2014’s 31st position. Their 2013 position was in turn, 15 positions better than their 2012 ranking.

CAD-IT Consultants (Asia) Ptd Ltd first won the Enterprise 50 Award in 2012, together with her sister company, Moldfactory Pte Ltd.

The E50 Awards, first established in 1995, recognises local, privately-held companies who have contributed to economic development in Singapore and abroad. Jointly organised by The Business Times and KPMG, and supported by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDAS), International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore), Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and SPRING Singapore and sponsored by OCBC Bank, the win formally inducts CAD-IT into an elite group of alumni winners as the cream of Singapore’s business crop.

The E50 Awards seeks to recognise the fifty most enterprising privately-held local companies in Singapore.

The ranking of the top fifty companies will be primarily on a weighted-average computation of a set of performance indicators over a three-year period, including:

  • Operating Profit Before Tax (OPBT)
  • Turnover
  • Return on Equity
  • Growth in Operating Profits
  • Growth in Turnover
  • Net Tangible Assets
  • Operating Cash Flow as a percentage of OPBT
  • Quick Ratio
  • Debt to Equity Ratio
  • Return on Total Fixed Assets
  • Operating Profit per Employee
  • Percentage of Turnover from Overseas Operations
  • Percentage of Payroll Spent on Training
  • Percentage of Gross Turnover Spent on R&D

In addition, qualitative factors such as business model, productivity and innovations, management ideals and governance, knowledge initiatives, market branding and presence, and liquidity and risk management will be taken into consideration in ranking the companies. These qualitative factors will not influence the rankings by more than 45%.
